The problem is acutely felt when trying to listen to a Facebook or YouTube video even while sitting in a quiet room - I have to strain my ears to make out what is being said. I have been plagued for over a year with a problem on my Lenovo T420 laptop: the internal speaker volume is ridiculously low.
